Keeping Linton Dog Meadow Safe & Enjoyable

We want every visit to Linton Dog Meadow to be relaxed, safe and enjoyable. Please take a moment to read our field rules before your visit. By booking and using the meadow, you agree to follow these rules.

Entering & Leaving the Meadow

Your booking time includes arriving, unloading your dogs, using the meadow, loading your dogs back into your vehicle and leaving. Please make sure you allow enough time to do all of this before your allocated session ends.

Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your booking and wait until the previous visitors have safely returned their dogs to their vehicle before getting yours out.

Dogs must remain on leads until they are safely inside the secure field and the entrance gate has been closed. When leaving, please put dogs back on leads before opening the gate.

Always close and secure the gate immediately after entering or leaving.

Late arrival does not extend your booking time, as we need to ensure the next visitor can enjoy their full session.

During Your Visit

Once the gate is securely closed, you're free to enjoy the meadow.

Please remember:

  • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
  • Do not climb on gates or fencing.
  • Please treat the meadow, fencing and equipment with care. Any damage caused may be charged to the dog owner.
  • In wet or winter weather, the meadow can become muddy. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing.
  • If you notice any damage to the fencing, gates or facilities, please let us know as soon as possible.
  • Dogs must remain under the supervision and control of their owner or handler throughout the session.
  • Use of the meadow is at your own risk.
  • Vehicles and their contents are left at the owner's risk.

Scoop Your Own Poop

Nobody wants to find an unwanted surprise on their walk!

Please pick up after your dog every time and place dog waste in the bins provided.

We ask visitors to bring their own biodegradable poo bags. Where available, we may have a small supply for those occasions when you've forgotten yours.

Litter

Help us keep Linton Dog Meadow beautiful.

Please don't leave any litter in the meadow, car park or surrounding area. All litter and dog waste must be placed in the appropriate bins provided.

Dog Health

For the wellbeing of every dog visiting the meadow, all dogs using the field must:

Be appropriately wormed and have their vaccinations up to date.

Please don't bring a dog to the meadow if they are unwell or potentially infectious to other dogs.

Parking & Access

Please use only the designated parking area when visiting Linton Dog Meadow.

One parking space is available inside the Meadow on the designated hard standing area for your booking. Please drive carefully when entering and leaving, and be mindful that the gate opens towards you.

Please keep the entrance to the adjoining field clear at all times, as access is required for farm vehicles and machinery. Vehicles must not be parked in a way that blocks or restricts farm traffic.

Please ensure the gate is securely closed once you have entered the Meadow and again when leaving.

Kind, Responsible Handling

The welfare of dogs using Linton Dog Meadow is important to us.

Choke chains, prong collars and electronic training devices are not permitted within the meadow.

If you're unable to safely get your dog back at the end of your allocated session, please contact us rather than risking your dog's safety. Any additional field time used may need to be paid for.

Cancellations & Booking Times

Please make sure you're able to attend your chosen session before completing your booking.

Late arrivals: Unfortunately, we cannot extend a session because of late arrival.

No-shows: Refunds will not be provided for missed sessions.

Closure by us: Occasionally, we may need to close the meadow for safety, maintenance or circumstances outside our control. If we have to cancel your booking, we'll contact you and provide a full refund.

Linton Dog Meadow is here to give dogs something wonderfully simple: the freedom to run, sniff, play and explore in their own secure space.

Being considerate of the meadow and the people and dogs visiting after you helps us keep it a safe and enjoyable place for everyone.
